Album packaging of 若者たちへ (Dear Youths,) reminding us to stop hurrying to grow up.
︎︎︎ THE PROBLEM
Dear Youths, is the emotional, rocky first full-length album of Hitsuji Bungaku. It serves as a warning for those hurrying to grow up and reminds us to enjoy the moments we will one day long for. I set out to reimagine the design and capture the essence of its sound and meaning.

︎︎︎ THE GOAL
I wanted to convey the feelings of nostalgia and fleeting time with a punchy look. With an audience of mainly Japanese listeners, I wanted to make the art relatable I took on inspiration from my own nostalgic memories
of summers in Japan.

︎︎︎ THE SOLUTION
Multiple exposures of the same two women running on a beach capture time passing in a rushed yet cautionary way, while the gradient makes it feel like a faded memory. The white circle represents a sun setting on the days of youth and serves as an icon of Japan.
