MUKBANG is a photobook and accompanying advertisement showcasing the intimacy of eating. 

︎︎︎ THE PROBLEM

Mukbangs are known within a small but growing online community; they’re videos of people eating taken for visual and auditory satisfaction. Following my passion for expressive imagery, I set out to capture images that evoke the same responses as Mukbang videos. 
︎︎︎ THE GOAL

This book aims to exhibit the gross yet captivating intimacy of eating. Inspired by the video genre, loaded with ASMR eating sounds, the goal is to catalyze that same mock sensation of mental paresthesia.
︎︎︎ THE SOLUTION

Keeping the eater anonymous and focusing on the textures, surfaces, and colors, the reader can experience Mukbang through imagery. Perhaps these images gross you out, or maybe they make you want a snack. Either way, these images will cause some sort of sudden emotion.
